The pay per use rates are very high. I don’t think they are the best option again. But on the other hand, if you wish to use the travel passes (please check them out below), they are a slightly less costly than the pay per use rates.

Fido

Lastly, if you wish to use your Canadian Cell Phone in Lebanon using  Fido Roam, you will be able to use it using the pay per use rates (please see below).

To be honest, this is not worth it at all.

Now that we know what the top cell phone carriers in Canada offer for using our Canadian Cell Phone in Lebanon. Let’s look at alternatives to using our phones in Lebanon.

Option #1 Get a local SIM card in Lebanon

There are currently 2 mobile companies in Lebanon, they are Alfa and MTC. Each company has its own rates and bundles. We will look at what each company has to offer. But before we do that, if you wish to purchase a local SIM in Lebanon, you must provide a Passport in order to register your SIM. Plus, you need to have an Unlocked GSM Cell phone.

ALFA

They have a variety of Prepaid Plans which you can choose from. You can click here to check out the different plans they have.

MTC

Again, MTC also has a variety of prepaid plans for visitors. You can click here to read more about the plans they offer for visitors.

From personal experience, purchasing a local SIM in Lebanon is by far the best options yet. It is definitely much cheaper than to have to use the roaming plans out Canadian cell phone providers currently offer. And please note, ensure you have your Canadian cell phone unlocked through your Carrier or you can purchase one online.

Also, you could purchase a local SIM from the Airport or from a mobile store in the country. But you must provide a Passport as mentioned earlier. And you should be up and running in no time!

Option #2 International SIM Cards

I know there are a lot of SIM cards which you can purchase prior to your trip from Amazon or other online retailers. But I just want to let you know that they are NOT worth it and they are really expensive to use compared to if you were to purchase local SIM in Lebanon.

In conclusion, if I ever come across any good well worth it roaming SIM cards,  I will share them with you ASAP.  Thanks for visiting my site. If you have any questions or concerns about any of the content I have up on my site, please leave your comment below and I would be more than happy to connect.
