What Is The Zen SIM For Japan?
The Zen SIM card includes data plans ONLY, which you can use ONLY in Japan. You no longer have to worry about incurring huge bills when wanting to use your mobile device while in Japan.
How It Works?
A 4 step process. You simply activate the mobile app called “e-connect japan”, add your SIM information, Select the data plan, and lastly, select the activation plan.
The Zen SIM support does recommend you set the activation date before you go to Japan. Having said this, please do follow the instructions in the guide provided with the SIM.

You can ONLY use the Zen SIM card in Japan. It works only in Japan.

What I liked about the Zen SIM?
- Multiple plans are available.
- Fits all sized phones. It’s a 3 in 1 type SIM card.
- You can check your data usage.
- The best coverage you will ever get while in Japan.
- Affordable. It is very inexpensive, compared to when having to use your phone through your local service provider.
My Recommendation
As you already know, the Zen Sim only works in Japan. So it’s ideal if you are planning to travel to Japan and wish to use your phone for data plans. And just to let you know, you can download a VOIP app such as SKYPE, or even Viber and still make voice calls using the Zen SIM Card.
In essence, when you purchase the Zen SIM Card from Amazon, you will purchase a blank SIM, after which you will need to purchase a data plan separately.
